Review

This meditation was not as enjoyable as it might have been as it was started from a state of slight agitation/annoyance. Caused by a bad nights sleep and trouble during the morning routine. The children and work commitments caused this to start later than planned.

Deciding to push on and observe the mind in this state, I resolved to carry out the full 30 minutes. I thought this may have been a slog, however to my surprise it was not too difficult to be seated for the full time.

It was however filled with many wandering moments and distractions, particularly noises and thoughts of the morning passed and that to come.

I have been in much more concentrated states recently, however I was pleased to get it done. The majority of this meditation saw me firmly in stage two, but awareness did concentrate occasionally for longer periods. It also had the effect of allowing me to let go of some of the annoyances of the morning, both during and in the period shortly after.
