I Woke up very tired due to a busy few days with poor sleep quality. I came down and had a strong coffee before setting up in the usual way.
It felt good to sit again this morning. I actually sat yesterday morning too but didn’t find the time to write about it. I also went to the group class on Wednesday evening but again didn’t had time on the night or yesterday to write. As I sat I took a few moments to appreciate the quiet time and moved on to setting my intentions. I had the idea to change my intentions slightly, putting in ‘More satisfaction from life’ as a new, longer-term motivation.
Moving into the main session I did a body scan and paid real attention to each area, noting the sensations before moving on. I moved to the breathing were I followed the recent method. First doing ten breaths in and out, noting “in” and “out” then counting after the out-breath.
I then dropped the count and then let the noting “in” and “out” slip away. I found myself drifting to thinking a few times, especially in the early stages. Each time this began to happen I re-established the count and noting with good success.
Towards the end of the meditation, I decided to visualise a white energetic light filling my body with spiritual energy from my feet to the top of my head. As I was doing this a strong pleasant tingling accompanied it and I noted I felt a strong energy from within. This was a really nice way to end, and shortly after the bell rang, so I had timed things well.
This energy stayed with me, and still now two hours later I feel awake and aware.
